Stage 2: Incident Configuration

Select + Add Incident

Click the dropdown arrow by Incident 1

The Incident information pane will open.

  • Fill Incident Name

  • Fill Incident Description* (See below for details)

*Type out the Scenario details, remembering that words will be pronounced AS THEY ARE WRITTEN.

Spell out words like Street (not St.) and input pronunciation tips for the AI reader (Pronounced A-I)

Example Scenario Details:

“Your callsign is T455 (pronounced Tom-4-5-5) and you will call out to the dispatcher (control) with your callsign.

Once they acknowledge, you will advise that you are on a vehicle stop at the intersection of Main Street and 5th street.

After the dispatcher acknowledges you, you will advise that you will be out on an unlicensed black Ford F-one-fifty newer model occupied by a w-m-a ma,dark clothing.

The dispatcher will then acknowledge you.

After approximately 20 seconds you will advise dispatch that you are code 4. Or, if the dispatcher asks if you are code 4 you will advise that "affirmative, I'm code 4".

The dispatcher should also acknowledge this.

After approximately another 20 - 30 seconds you will advise that you will be clear with a warning given to the driver.”

Fill Incident Source

Note:

Field initiated means the unit will call in and the dispatcher will need to record the incident. Caller initiated means a new incident will appear in the simulated CAD for the dispatcher to assign units.

Fill

  • Start Time

  • Incident Type

  • Incident Priority

  • Incident Location

  • Incident Description

  • Dispatcher Notes

Note: Incident Type pulls straight from your existing CommsCoach mapped incident types, just like for call taking simulations.

Note: Assigned Units will look to your unit mapping table to allow you to select a unit specific to your center. However, if you don't have, or want to add more, you can do that here. Whatever you add here does NOT populate back up to your mapping table.

Dispatcher Notes is optional

Note: Listen carefully to your Incident making sure that all words can be understood. If not, edit the instructions to the AI.
