What is this?

Purging data allows you to permanently remove unwanted data from your database.

Why am I learning this?

Your Agency may wish to remove old test data from your active database.

What will I learn?

By the end of this module, you will be able to...

  • Ensure permissions are enabled to perform the purge operation

  • Navigate to the Purge Data operator

  • Set up parameters for data to be purged

  • Verify data to be purged

  • Initiate the purge function

  • Review completed results of your purge operation

How to Purge Data

Ensure the following are enabled:

  • Data Purge Feature Flag

  • Permission as System Admin

  • Permission to Purge Data

Select Data Purge

Click the + New Purge button

The Create New Purge Request dialog panel will open

Read the description of each purge type by clicking the tiny "info dot" icon

Select Date Range for the data that you plan to purge

Click the Preview Impact button to see what will be purged

  • Note processing time message

  • Click the Submit Purge Request button

The Confirm Data Purge dialog box will open

  • Type the word PURGE in the open field to confirm your purge request.

  • Click the Confirm Purge button

  • Review your Purge Request History to see your latest purge status.

  • Status: Queued

Refresh

  • Click the Refresh button

  • View your updated Purge History Status.

  • Status: Completed
