Set Screen Layout

ASSIST is designed to coexist with CAD and call-handling software. Each agency will have their own workflows and ways of using Assist within their existing operations. As a result, we allow agencies to set their own layout of the Assist page based on their preferences and the assistants that they activate.

Agencies may consider:

  • Call-taker vs. supervisor workflows

  • Minimizing distraction while preserving visibility

  • Only surfacing what should be used during live call taking

Accessing your Settings Dashboard

  • Log in as an Administrator

  • Open Settings

Settings Menu

  • Click the Screen Configuration button

Tabs and Layout Controls

  • Tabs will be lined up horizontally on your screen

  • Tab and Layout Controls will be along the bottom of your screen

Reconfigure Tabs - Drag & Drop

  • Simply click on a Tab you wish to move

  • Drag that Tab to the desired location in your dashboard

  • Release your "click" or "drop" the tab

  • Release your "click" or "drop" the tab

  • The Tabs are now in your preferred locations

Review and Save Layout

  • View your new configuration

  • Click Save Layout to set this new layout as your standard layout

  • Active Calls will update automatically to your new custom layout

Remove a Tab from your Screen Layout

Remove Tab

  1. Select the Tab you wish to remove from your dashboard

  2. The title of that tab will highlight

  3. Click the Remove Tab button

Add a Tab Back to your Screen Layout

Click the + Add Tab button at the bottom center of your dashboard.

The Add Tab dialog box will open

  • Use the dropdown arrows to navigate to the type of tab you want to add

  • Select the Tab you want to add

    • Instructions

    • Assistants

    • Spoken Instructions

    • CAD Actions

    • etc.

Click the Add button

Reset your Screen Layout to the Default Configuration

Reset Layout to Default

  • Unhappy with your new layout?

  • Simply click the Reset Layout Button to show all available tabs

  • Use Reset Layout in the configuration menu.

  • The default layout shows all available tabs.

Success

  • Your Tabs have been reset to the Default Positions

  • Click Save Layout to set this new layout as your standard layout

Frequently Asked Questions

How will screen configuration updates impact historical and future calls?

  • All calls will update to the new screen configuration including historical, active, and future calls.

Can users save their own screen configurations?

  • No, screen layouts live at the agency level

If I remove a tab, does that functionality disappear?

  • No, even if a tab is removed, its functionality will continue to run behind the scenes. This means, for example, that even if the Summary tab is removed, we will still generate a summary that surfaces in the Calls Dashboard.

How will future tabs be added to our screen?

  • We will notify customers via release notes if new tab functionality is available. Admins can go into their screen configurations to add future tabs as desired.
