Filtering Positions in ASSIST

Written by Trish Griffin
Updated this week

What is this?

Filtering allows you to narrow down the list of calls visible in your call log. Filters work the same for all users, but what you can see depends on your role and which position you’re viewing.

Why is this important?

Filtering helps you quickly find specific calls — whether you’re reviewing your own recent work, investigating a specific position’s activity, or distinguishing between live operations and training simulations.

What can I filter by?

You can filter by...

  • Most Recent Calls - sort by timestamp to see newest calls first

  • Position Type - toggle between phone calls (live 911) and simulations (training)

  • Identifier - filter to a specific position based on the position identifier

  • Display Name - filter to a specific position based on the position name

  • Logged-in User - show only calls handled by a specific dispatcher
