Overview

The Data Agent will read from a SQL Reporting/Archive Database. To do this we need a database reader user to connect.

Network Requirements: The server running the Data Agent should be able to connect to the CAD Reporting server over port 1433. This can be tested using PowerShell.

PowerShell Command:

Test-NetConnection -ComputerName {CAD Reporting Server name or IP} -Port 1433

Standard Data Fields

These are the standard data fields the Data Agent reads from LETG. The tables below show each GovWorx incident field and the LETG column it comes from. The Data Agent skips incidents with no incident type.

Note: Additional fields are considered enhancement requests.

Incident fields

Source names are CADEvent columns unless the row says otherwise.

Notes

Incident ID

CADEvent.ID

CAD record key.

Incident Number

CADEvent.EventNumber

Related Incident

CADEvent.ParentEventID

Incident Type

CADEvent.EventTypeID

The Data Agent replaces the code with the CodeValueVerbiage.VerbiageLong text. It keeps the code when no text exists.

Initial Incident Type

CADEvent.EventSubTypeID

Replaced with text in the same way.

Caller Number

CADCallerInformation.Phone1

The earliest caller record.

Caller Name

CADCallerInformation.FirstName, LastName

The earliest caller record.

Agency

The workstation from the call taker's most recent login at or before the incident time. The Data Agent looks back 24 hours.

Call Taker ID

Employee.UserName

From CADEvent.CreatedByEmployeeID.

Call Taker Name

Employee.FirstName, LastName

Call Source

CodeValue.Code

From CADEvent.CallSourceID.

Call Received Time

CADEvent.CreateDT

The earliest CAD note timestamp setting replaces this with the earliest note time.

Data Agent Settings

To prepare for this connection, we need the following details. These are settings in the GovWorx Data Agent configuration for this connector. A toggle is an on/off switch in that configuration.

Setting

Type

Explanation

Host*

Text

Host of the reporting database

Database name*

Text

Database Schema to read from

Use integrated security

Toggle

Toggle will use the domain service account that runs the agent service to authenticate to SQL Server. Either enable this or supply both a username and password.

Username**

Text

Database user

Password**

Password

Database password

Time back to query (days.hh:mm) (default 00:30, 30 minutes)

Text

How far back each run looks for incidents. The query filters on the time the incident was created.

Backfill enabled (overrides "Time back")

Toggle

Toggle will query over a fixed time interval instead of time back, for backfilling historical data.

Backfill: Beginning time (yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm)

Text

Beginning time of the fixed interval.

Backfill: End time

Text

End time of the fixed interval.

Use earliest CAD note timestamp for Received At

Toggle

Toggle will use the earliest CAD note time as Call Received Time. Use it when the first note marks the start of the call better than the CAD pickup time. Call Pickup Time does not change. When no note has a time, Call Received Time stays as read from CAD. Default: off. This setting is on every CAD connector.

**: Either Use integrated security or (Username and Password) is required.
