Checklist

Windows Machine

Identify or prepare a Windows machine that can run the data agent. Oftentimes, we see agencies have an App Server that hosts other similar data services that could host this.

Prepare Network Traffic

The agent sends traffic outbound only while parts of the Simulations product may need additional firewall networking in place. See article below for full networking and firewall considerations.

Whitelist Email Domains

Domains will be used for project coordination and application generated emails as configured by customer.

Prepare Network - CAD Connector

Make sure the Windows machine has a route to the database where we will be reading data or the API endpoint where the data will be queried.

Gather Credentials - CAD Connector

Details can be found on the Connector-specific page listed below

Prepare Network - Voice Logging Recorder (VLR) Connector

Make sure the Windows machine has a way to connect to the filesystem where the VLR audio files are stored. The agent has the ability to authenticate with the filesystem via SMB

Gather Credentials - VLR Connector

Details can be found on the Connector-specific page listed below. If you are using some remote share - you can test your credentials with

net use \\remote_server\share_name /user:username password

Download and Install the agent

Position / Workstation Map

To map call audio to CAD incidents we use timestamps and the CAD Workstation and Audio Position/Channel. Often the CAD Workstation identifier is different than the VLR Position/Channel. We have a mapping table for this. You can enter it here: https://app.govworx.net/settings/position-mapper.

Make sure to hit the save button after adding each position.

Schedule Go Live

At go live we will give you a token to connect to your agency
